As a teenager, you may be handling lots of mood-influenced emotional highs and lows. One minute you might feel great, the next you feel sad and tearful. This kind of shift in your mood is expected as you grow and develop.
Your life is changing, just like your body. Your mood is affected by hormonal changes. You may be having new, unexpected experiences, too. You may be facing added responsibilities at home, tougher grading policies in school and your friends may be changing.
You're in the process of developing new skills, behaviors and views, as you approach adulthood.
As you grow older you will need strong skills to manage the emotional challenges you will face.
Improved emotional management skills take time to develop. We can help you begin to establish a strong framework from which to build a more hopeful future.
Relationship counseling is the process of helping to recognize, manage or reconcile troublesome differences and repeating patterns of behavior between people.
Individual therapy (sometimes called “psychotherapy” or “counseling”) is a process through which patients work one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore feelings, beliefs and behaviors, work through aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals and work toward desired change.

Couple's therapy (or relationship therapy) is a subset of relationship counseling. It may differ from other forms of relationship counseling.
Short term counseling may be between one and three sessions, whereas long term couples therapy may be between twelve and twenty four sessions. In addition, counseling tends to be more 'here and now' and new coping strategies are outcomes we hope to achieve.
Marriage counseling or marital therapy can refer to either or some combination of the above. The methods may differ in other ways as well, but the differences may indicate more about the counselor's / therapist's way of working than the title given to their process.
Most of us have some sort of relationship with other people. Unless you are a castaway on an island, you interact with people every day. Relationships with parents, friends, and significant others (like a boyfriend or girlfriend) can be rewarding and tough to navagate.
